Bruce Brown - Contracts Manager
Contracts Manager | Shopfitting & Bar Fitting | Property Development
With over 40 years of experience in shopfitting, bar fitting, and property development, I have built my career from the ground up. My journey began with an apprenticeship in the family business, where I gained hands-on experience in the workshop before moving on-site. Over time, I progressed to Site Foreman and later Contracts Manager, developing a deep understanding of every stage of the construction and fit-out process.
Throughout my career, I have managed projects across the UK, including the Highlands and Islands, as well as internationally, overseeing refits in Norway and Finland. These experiences have strengthened my expertise in delivering high-quality projects, no matter the scale or location.
I excel in client collaboration, ensuring clear communication and project planning. From taking detailed briefs and preparing cost estimates to developing work programs and overseeing execution, I am dedicated to delivering the best results. My hands-on approach, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills ensure that every project runs smoothly from concept to completion.

John Hilton - Site Manager
With over 25 years of extensive experience in the construction and shopfitting industry, I have had the privilege of working in diverse environments across multiple countries, including Ireland, Algeria, Holland, Germany, France, Switzerland, UK, Italy, Norway, Belgium, and Sweden. This global exposure has enriched my ability to adapt to multicultural and multi-religious settings while consistently delivering high-quality results.
Collaborated with esteemed companies such as John Dennis, Bechtel, Velstone, Oracle Shopfitting, Gyproc, JH Joinery, B & S and MPACT Group, among others. Contributed to a wide range of projects, including schools, hospitals, pipelines, power stations, residential housing, and fit outs of shops, banks, and hotels. Proficient in working with modern and traditional materials, systems, methods, and equipment to meet evolving industry standards. Thrives as a flexible, client-oriented, and focused team player, consistently ensuring project completion to the highest standards.
Nick Gollan - Site Manager
With over 35 years of experience in the construction and shopfitting industry, Nick Gollan is a highly accomplished Site Manager and a valued member of the Greyside Developments team.
Throughout his career, Nick has worked with renowned companies such as Anderson Shopfitting, Seahorse Shopfitting, Bechtel, J & W Shopfitters, P & M Sinclair, B & S, JAD, Copper Grey, and Laidlaw Contracts. His extensive portfolio includes managing projects for high-profile clients and iconic locations, including Edinburgh University, Police Scotland, Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh Airport, Archerfield, Gleneagles Hotel, Jury’s Hotel Dublin, Four Seasons Hotel Dublin, Glen Grant Distillery, and the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
Nick’s expertise has taken him beyond the UK, with successful projects completed across Europe and North Africa. Known for his meticulous attention to detail, leadership, and commitment to delivering high-quality results, he is a trusted professional in the industry.
Sean O'Donnell - Joiner
Sean is an experienced joiner with a strong background in new builds, refurbishments, and high-end developments. Started as a labourer before completing a joinery apprenticeship with JAD Joinery, gaining hands-on experience in final fix, roughing, and bespoke property work. Progressed to working with Copper Grey Developments and other firms, specializing in attic conversions, extensions, and refurbishments across Edinburgh and North Berwick. Sean is an integral part of the Greyside Developments team. Skilled in both roughing and finishing joinery, with a track record of delivering quality workmanship across various projects
Reece
Reece joined the team in the summer of 2025 as an apprentice joiner, working towards becoming a skilled, fully qualified tradesperson. Reece has a strong interest in high-quality craftsmanship and traditional woodworking techniques. Reece is currently developing his skills via the Construction Industry Training Board, across a range of joinery work, and site-based projects. He takes pride in my attention to detail and willingness to learn from experienced tradespeople. Enjoying hands-on projects, problem-solving on site, and perfecting his skills with every job and producing work he is proud of.
Linda Brown
I joined the Operations side of the business at the end of 2025. My role includes all aspects of the business, responsible for overseeing day-to-day operational activities on projects, ensuring smooth coordination between site teams, vendors, consultants, and management. The role focuses on process efficiency, compliance, documentation, and timely execution of construction and administrative operations. I monitor project timelines, material flow, and daily operational requirements, as well as budgeting and accounting records. Prior to joining the business, I worked in Financial Services for a number of years, providing me with the transferrable skills in relation to project managing and operations across all the business.
